Two more key actors have joined the cast of New Line’s Mortal Kombat movie, as Sonya Blade and Kano enter the arena.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jessica McNamee (The Meg) is in final talks to play series mainstay Sonya Blade. Meanwhile, Josh Lawson (House of Lies) has signed on to play Sonya’s nemesis Kano.
In addition to these two casting choices, THR also reports that Lewis Tan (Wu Assassins) has signed on to play an undisclosed character. We wouldn’t be surprised if Tan has been cast as Scorpion, opposite Joe Taslim’s Sub-Zero. Another option would be main villain Shang Tsung, a role popularized by Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa in the original 1995 movie.
