James Interactive has released a brand new trailer for the latest weird adventure from the mind of Edmund McMillen. The Legend of Bum-bo is described by the Super Meat Boy co-creator as “A puzzle based deck building rogue-like prequel to The Binding of Isaac“, and launches on PC November 12.

The trailer, hosted by Bum-Bo himself, shows off the puzzle adventure’s unique “cardboard constructed” aesthetic, along with some of its turn-based combat, casino-based mini-games, and queasy blend of gore and poo. According to McMillen, The Legend of Bum-Bo is “kinda like Slay the Spire or Dicey Dungeons but very different”. The new title’s sountrack is composed by Ridiculon, whose music also scored the grim dungeons of The Binding of Isaac Rebirth, Afterbirth, and upcoming DLC Repentence.
