The first trailer for Birds of Prey has landed, and offers us our first look at a Harley Quinn who has escaped the clutches of the Joker and is looking to forge a new life as the head of Gotham’s new gang of anti-heroes.
The trailer, which shares a lot of the visual styling of Suicide Squad, is narrated by Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn, who explains that after breaking up with the Joker she’s looking for a new direction in life. She hints that she’s found others like her, as the trailer introduces us to Mary Elizabeth Winstead’s Huntress.
We also get our first look at DC’s new Black Canary, played by Jurnee Smollett-Bell, at the start of the trailer, as Harley Quinn explains to her the concept of a harlequin’s relationship with their master.
