You can see what happened the first day Mr. Spock (Ethan Peck) boarded the USS Enterprise in the new Short Treks episode “Q&A,” which, in a surprise announcement, dropped today on CBS All Access. Hint: It doesn’t go as planned for the Vulcan. (And Spock is very shouty at one point in true “The Cage” fashion.)

During today’s New York Comic Con panel, Star Trek guru and executive producer Alex Kurtzman also dropped the news that the rest of this new batch of Short Treks will then roll out the second Thursday of each month, starting next week on Oct. 10, until December, when two shorts will hit on Dec. 12.
