Analogue has announced the Analogue Pocket, a stylish third-party handheld that will play Game Boy, Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance games. It will be available in 2020 for $199.99 (other regions’ pricing not confirmed at time of writing).
Designed by the same team that released the excellent Super Nt and Mega Sg consoles, the Analogue Pocket has a similar philosophy – to allow you to play cartridge-based retro games in the best possible quality, without any emulation. In this case, Analogue promises that the Pocket will play every Game Boy, Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance game out of the box. Cartridge adapters will apparently allow the Pocket to play the likes of Game Gear, Neo Geo Pocket Color and Atari Lynx games too.
