It may already be breaking advance ticket sales, but very early box office tracking for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker projects it to have a softer opening weekend than expected.

According to Box Office Pro‘s tracking, The Rise of Skywalker is projected to have an opening weekend in the range of $185-225 million for a total domestic box office haul of between $550-750 million.

In comparison, Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Star Wars: The Last Jedi opened to $248 million and $220 million, respectively.
