It seems the full cast for Amazon Prime’s adaption of Wheel of Time is finally coming together, with the addition of Michael McElhatton (Game of Thrones). It was announced Wednesday on Twitter that McElhatton would join an already talented cast of 8 other previously announced actors.
McElhatton will play a character known as Tam Al’Thor, father of Rand Al’Thor (Josha Stradowski). In the popular book series, Tam is a skilled warrior who is incredibly talented with a bow, as well as wields impeccable swordsmanship. Since production for Wheel of Time is still in the very early stages, it’s unclear how close McElhatton’s portrayal of Tam Al’Thor will be to the original.
