Is Google Stadia good? That’s the question on everyone’s mind with the game streaming service launching today and after a week of testing it out I can say yes, yes it is—but, and there are several big buts about it. With at least 15 of Stadia’s promised features still on their way, it’s probably worth waiting a while before jumping onto Google’s game streaming service.
At the point of this writing, the service has only just gone live. However, in our review window servers were only taxed by a small group of reviewers, I only had access to a small six-game library, voice chat was disabled, and several more features will turn on for the first time at launch. There’s still plenty to consider about Stadia before we publish our full review and final score, which we plan to release in a few days, so here’s our review in progress in the meantime.
