Google’s game streaming service has been live for a little more than a day now and unfortunately, I have to report that Stadia hasn’t fared that much better. With a bigger group of users taxing servers than the small group of reviewers in the initial week of testing, I’ve personally seen visual quality drop significantly.

On launch day games like Shadow of the Tomb Raider and Destiny 2 are definitely loading in lower assets. At certain points of my latest testing, I saw graphical artifacts and frame rate stutters even though my 200Mbps home Internet speeds should have easily handled the 4K HDR quality Stadia promises to deliver at just 35Mbps.
