Announced in July 2018 for DC Universe, Stargirl follows Courtney Whitmore, a high school sophomore, and her group of friends as they try to stop villains of the past. Originally planned to be a DC Universe exclusive – Stargirl episodes will air on the CW one day after they debut on DC Universe.
The 13-episode scripted series will be produced by Geoff Johns, Stargirl creator and series showrunner. Johns recently stepped down as DC Entertainment President and CCO, thus has extensive experience in the DC’s universe of characters, playing a vital role in the CW adaptations of heroes like the Flash, Arrow, and Batwoman.
