With the Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker set to release in under a month, fans around the world are gearing up for the final installment to the Skywalker saga — as well as the final Star Wars film for a while.

In an interview with Empire, Colin Trevorrow spoke about his impact on the upcoming movie he was once directing, as well as his thoughts about being included in the film’s closing credits. Further, he credited J.J. Abrams with the decision to bring back Emperor Palpatine, telling Empire that “it’s honestly something I never considered.”
