Writer/director M. Night Shyamalan announced, during his appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, that his new AppleTV+ series, Servant, has already been picked up for Season 2.
Servant is due to premiere Thanksgiving, November 28, so this early renewal is not only a sign of Apple’s confidence in the creepy new series, but also an indicator that Shyamalan may have a shot at the story going for a while – which is the plan. Servant’s been plotted out for 60 episodes, ideally running six seasons.
Servant features a Philadelphia couple in mourning after an unspeakable tragedy creates a rift in their marriage and opens the door for a mysterious force to enter their home. It stars Toby Kebbell (Black Mirror), Lauren Ambrose (Six Feet Under), Rupert Grint (the Harry Potter franchise), and Nell Tiger Free (Game of Thrones).
