Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds popped in for a guest spot on Saturday Night Live this week, during Will Ferrell’s fifth time hosting the show since leaving the cast back in 2002.

Right at the top of Ferrell’s opening monologue, he noticed Ryan Reynolds sitting in the front row. Immediately distracted, Ferrell asked why Reynolds was there. “I’m just here to enjoy the show,” Reynolds said, stating that he was simply a big fan of Ferrell.

Hilariously, Ferrell became flustered and spent the rest of the monologue obsessing over Reynolds, giddy to hear that Reynolds, and his wife Blake Lively, were both huge admirers. It all ended with a fun Tracy Morgan cameo.
