Warning: this review contains full spoilers for The Flash: Season 6, Episode 8. If you need a refresher on where we left off, here’s our review for Season 6, Episode 7.
This week’s Flash episode “The Last Temptation of Barry Allen, Part 2” picks up where the previous installment left off, and if last week’s story was a psychological thriller inside Barry Allen’s mind, this week is Night of the Living Dead through a Flash lens.
Not even The Flash logo on the title card is safe from Bloodwork, as the episode has an almost Venom-like black drip all over it. That blackness extends to people all over Central City, including Barry himself, all under Bloodwork’s thrall. We learn that the only way he can infect a body is if someone is afraid, and with fear all over the city, there are a lot of zombie-like people running around. Of course, Ramsey/Bloodwork thinks he’s “curing” people by giving them eternal life, but to any of us who have seen The Walking Dead, it’s more like they’re a weird mix of zombies and vampires.
