Riot has announced a new publishing initiative called Riot Forge, which will partner with third-party game developers to work on new games set in the League of Legends universe. Riot says “multiple titles” are already in development at Riot Forge.
One of the goals for Riot Forge is to create games set in the League of Legends universe, but are different from its flagship MOBA game on PC. The company says Riot Forge titles will be “completable game experiences” in “different genres and various platforms” that complement the live service game.
“We are humbled by our partner developers who are so passionate to work on games set in the LoL IP,” said Riot Forge head Leanne Loombe.
