Martin Scorsese’s new film The Irishman reportedly hit over 17 million unique viewers in five days.
According to Variety, the numbers come from Nielsen, which tracks viewership across several platforms, including traditional television.
According to Nielsen, 751,000 viewers watched the 209-minute film in its entirety when it was released on Nov. 27.
By comparison, Nielsen estimated that 26 million viewers tuned into Bird Box during its first seven days of release. When Netflix revealed its viewership numbers, the streaming service reported that 80 million viewers had watched Bird Box in the first four weeks of its release.
