A spin-off from the live action Aladdin film featuring Prince Anders is in development for Disney+.
The Hollywood Reporter explains the feature will focus on Billy Magnussen’s character Prince Anders, the bumbling goofball from Skanland who fails to win Princess Jasmine’s heart.
Reportedly, Magnussen brought the idea to the produces and also met with writers alongside the studio and production company Rideback. As such, Aladdin Producers Dan Lin and Jonathan Eirich will also be returning under the Rideback banner with executive producer Ryan Halprin joining the team. Writers Jordan Dunn and Michael Kvamme are also on board to write the script.
