Disney World’s new Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance theme park ride, which opened in Florida this week, has one major aim: to make guests feel immersed in their own Star Wars adventure. From the life-sized AT-ATs you encounter through the computer-generated space battle you witness unfold outside the windows of a First Order Star Destroyer, bringing the world of Star Wars to life in the most realistic way possible was the goal of the creative team behind the ambitious project, and the finished product delivers, in a large part thanks to the impressive VFX created by the team at Industrial Light & Magic.
