Daisy Ridley has expressed her love for Baby Yoda. Because, well, who wouldn’t?
Ridley, who plays Rey in the Star Wars sequel trilogy, has been down on cute mascot characters in the past, most notably venting her disdain for the puffin-like creatures called porgs that inhabit the remote island where Rey trained with Luke in The Last Jedi.
However, when asked about The Mandalorian’s adorable quintagenarian Force user during a promotional trip to Tokyo to promote Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, Ridley, told IGN Japan, “I actually really like Baby Yoda! When we were doing press for The Last Jedi, people kept asking me about the Porgs. I don’t really like the Porgs.” When asked why, she joked deadpan, “I think they’re overrated. I worked a lot harder than any of the Porgs!”
