The review embargo for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker has lifted, and the critical response to the final movie in the Skywalker Saga is decidedly mixed. Now that enough critic reviews have been released, the two main review aggregator sites — Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic — have released their Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker review aggregate scores.
Both scores are comparable with each other: the Rotten Tomatoes review score for The Rise of Skywalker is currently sitting at 56 percent based on an aggregate of 117 reviews, while the Metacritic review score for Rise of Skywalker is currently sitting at 53 based on an aggregate of 32 pro critic reviews. Both sites announced the aggregate scores now that the review embargo on the film has lifted.
