Adventure game fans have a horror-tinged mystery to unravel this month on Nintendo Switch.

No Code and Devolver Digital are bringing Stories Untold a four-story anthology that’s part point-and-click, part text adventure to Switch on January 16, 2020. One of the creators is a former Alien: Isolation developer, and you might also recognize their follow-up game, the sci-fi AI adventure Observation.

Stories Untold has a lot going for it, in other words and bonus points for the synth-horror soundtrack.

Given that the game debuted on PC, the team needed to redesign the controls to play nice with a Joy-Con. Stories Untold might seem like a rather low-key game, but there’s plenty of interaction. Based on the trailer footage, the new controls should be manageable enough to not kill the mood.

It won’t be quite the same without a keyboard, but Switch owners should still find this riveting.
