Amazon Studios has announced the production of a TV series based on Lee Child’s bestselling book series, Jack Reacher.
The first season will follow the narrative from Child’s first novel, titled “The Killing Floor,” which was published back in 1997. The 24 books in the series follow the adventures of the former US Army military police major, Jack Reacher, as he investigates dangerous crimes in his new civilian life.
Amazon Studios will produce the show alongside Skydance Television and Paramount Television Studios. Nick Santora, known for his work on Prison Break and Scorpion, will write, executive produce, and act as showrunner for the upcoming series.

“Lee Child has created an incredible character and world; it will be the goal of every writer, producer, actor, executive and crew member to capture the essence of Mr. Child’s books – and luckily Lee has been there, and will continue to be there, to help guide us along the way in this series. He is the pulse of Reacher,” said Santora.
Child also weighed in on the conversion over his books being adapted to TV saying, “It’s been great so far, but really, the fun starts here. By now I know these guys, and Reacher is in the perfect hands, believe me.”
