nWay Games, in partnership with Lionsgate and Hasbro, has announced the formation of a “pro-league” of sorts for tag-fighting title Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid. The new league will offer BftG’s best players the opportunity to fight it out at a selection of events across the coming months, culminating at a grand final to be held at EVO 2020 in August.

The season kicks off at Frosty Faustings this weekend, with the league stopping off at several other major fighting game events across North America. Sanctioned online tournaments and community events will also afford players the chance to climb the leaderboards in hopes of securing a coveted Top Eight spot. These players will then be invited to EVO 2020 to battle for the title of Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid League Champion.
