Director Matt Reeves revealed that The Batman movie has begun filming with a picture from the set. The caption reads “#DayOne #TheBatman” and Reeves tagged Greg Fraser, the film’s director of photography.
The tweeted image shows a slate with the movie title and date, and it’s resting in a brown leather chair, which certainly conjures imagery of stately Wayne Manor. Could the first day of shooting feature a scene with Robert Pattinson’s Bruce Wayne inside his family estate? Given that this movie is essentially a reboot, it wouldn’t surprise anyone if they started from the beginning in a familiar location.

There’s been much chatter about The Batman as of late. Penguin/Oz Cobblepot actor Colin Ferrel praised Reeves’ script, calling it “a really, really beautiful, dark, moving script, really gorgeous.” Meanwhile, Catwoman actress Zoe Kravitz shared what most excites her about her feline character.
Joining Pattinson’s Caped Crusader in the cast of The Batman is Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Gordon, Paul Dano as Edward Nashton / The Riddler, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, John Turturro as Gotham City mobster Carmine Falcone, Peter Sarsgaard as an unknown character, and Jayme Lawson as mystery character “Bella.”
