Sony is throwing in a bonus game for the February 2020 PlayStation Plus lineup.
On top of BioShock: The Collection – a 1080p remaster compilation of BioShock, BioShock 2, and BioShock Infinite, with the DLC – subscribers are also getting The Sims 4 and the PlayStation VR title Firewall Zero Hour. Those first two games sell themselves, but Firewall is a tense 4v4 tactical shooter for a device that most PS4 players simply don’t own, so it makes sense as a “bonus game.”
This could easily be a one-off gesture, but I hope it isn’t. It would be smart on Sony’s part to push PlayStation VR even harder in the months leading up to the PS5’s holiday launch. If people accumulate a bunch of PSVR games through PlayStation Plus, the headset (or the eventual V2) will be more tempting.
You can add BioShock: The Collection, The Sims 4, and Firewall Zero Hour to your PlayStation Plus account from February 4, 2020 to March 2, 2020.
Remember the days when six games was the norm for PS Plus. That feels like forever ago.
