Netflix has unveiled the official trailer for its upcoming cyberpunk anime film, Altered Carbon: Resleeved, which is based on the characters from Richard K. Morgan’s novels.

Set to debut on Thursday, March 19, Altered Carbon: Resleeved is set on the planet Latimer, where “Takeshi Kovacs must protect a tattooist while investigating the death of a Yakuza boss alongside a no-nonsense CTAC,” according to a synopsis from Netflix.

Netflix has released two versions of the trailer so far: an English dubbed version via the streamer’s Twitter page, and a subbed version on YouTube.

The film is co-written by Dai Satô, who previously worked on popular titles like Cowboy Bebop and Resident Evil: Revelations 2. Altered Carbon: Resleeved is a standalone narrative set in the world of Altered Carbon, but not directly linked to the live-action series, which recently dropped its second season on Netflix.

Netflix also revealed some images showcasing the animation design and frenetic action scenes. You can see the photos in the gallery below:
