Warzone, Call of Duty’s standalone free-to-play battle royale experience (also available as part of Modern Warfare), now has a Solos mode on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
Up until today, Warzone’s two distinct modes – Battle Royale and Plunder – were specifically designed for teams of three players, but, now, lone wolves can airdrop in Verdansk and face off against 149 other solo players for their Battle Royale thrills. “Think of this as Free-For-All in a traditional Call of Duty game, but on a massive scale,” says Activision.
“When you hit the ground,” continues the publisher in a bout of hint-giving for solo play, “intel becomes the most powerful weapon for survival. Along with paying attention to the Tac Map and Compass, be especially thorough about finding, and equipping, reconnaissance tools such as the Recon Drone, Heartbeat Monitor, and UAV.”
