Udemy, the online-learning juggernaut, is famous for its tremendous selection of available courses. There are literally thousands to choose from, in subjects ranging from Photoshop to fashion design, web design to AutoCAD.
Probably more famous than its selection of courses is Udemy’s flash sales. You can often find entire subjects on sale for as little as $110.99, and between now and March 19 (which is this Thursday). If you suddenly find yourself with some extra time on your hands, why not learn a new skill (although with Animal Crossing and Doom Eternal, time may be in short supply)?

That’s just a small selection of the development courses available from Udemy right now. If game development isn’t your thing, you can always check out Udemy’s selection of web design courses, or just learn to draw. It’s kind of astonishing how many different courses and subjects are available.

As a matter of fact, I’m in the middle of a beginner’s Python course right now, and it’s actually exceeding my expectations. Often time courses will gloss over important points, but (in this case at least) the instructor recognizes ahead of time when things might be confusing and actually explains them instead of just jumping to the next part of the class. Being able to stop and start the lectures, and the class as a whole, at any time is also really conducive with my learning style (and tendency to get distracted).
If you’d rather spend your free time playing games, I completely understand. You can still order a course and in most cases, get life-time access, so you can learn to make your own Doom clone once you’ve completed Doom Eternal.
