The Surface Pro 7 finally has a multi-functional USB-C port to replace the previous models’ Mini DisplayPort. It also packs new 10th-gen Intel chips, and is available in dual-core Core i3 or quad-core Core i5 and i7 options. Note that, despite the picture on the product listing, the standard Surface Pro 7 does not come with the keyboard case. For that, you can get a bundle, also on sale.

You can save some cash on most configurations today. The least expensive build comes with an Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB RAM, 128GB storage, and your choice of color. While it normally retails for $959, it’s now available for $699. Not too shabby. Alternately, you can get that same Surface Pro 7 with 256GB storage for for $899, for a grand total of $300 in savings.
Hands-down the most useful Surface Pro 7 accessory is the Type Cover. It’s a thin keyboard and trackpad that attaches to your tablet and acts as a screen protector when closed, and acts as the bottom of a laptop when open. You can also buy a bundle that includes both devices, and still get the Deal of the Day discount.
If you’d like to look at the competition, the just-released 2020 iPad Pro is another fine option for a tablet that can turn into a laptop.
