Jack Quaid (Hughie Campbell)
What is the last thing you finished watching?
90 Day Fiancé: Okay listen. It’s a great show. I got into it with my girlfriend not expecting much and it quickly became one of the most fascinating things I’ve ever seen. Everyone in it is so interesting. We couldn’t stop. (Watch it on Hulu)
What are you currently watching?
Avatar: The Last Airbender: I’m a big fan of animation and this is one that I missed out on big time. So I figured now is as good a time as any to give it a watch. I’ve weirdly seen all of The Legend Of Korra, the sequel series to TLA, and loved it so I’m excited to finish the original. (Watch it on Hulu)
What is your go-to comfort watch?
The Simpsons: It’s been on for decades for a reason. When I was a kid I had DVD box sets of Seasons 1-6 and I couldn’t get enough of it. The writing is just so damn good. (Watch it on Disney+)
What book are you reading? / What is the last book you read?
Devil In The White City by Erik Larson: This is the most recent thing I’ve read. It was really hard to put down. I think this book might’ve singlehandedly gotten me into true crime.
What game are you playing? / What is the last game you played?
Dreams on PS4: I’m trying to use this time to create my own game in Dreams. It’s really overwhelming at first but once you get the hang of it, it’s really satisfying. It takes a lot of time to get used to it, but I got nothing but time now so I’m going for it.
What is next on your to-watch/read/play list?
Tiger King: I’ve watched a little bit so far. I love me a good docu-series and so far this is checking all of the boxes.
What is one thing you’d recommend that other people should watch/read/play if they’re looking for something new?
Finders Keepers: Speaking of documentaries, this is the craziest one I’ve ever seen and no one’s heard of for some reason. Essentially it’s about a custody battle over a man’s severed leg. It’s crazy, hilarious, and moving all at once. Check it out!
Karl Urban (Billy Butcher)
What is the last thing you finished watching?
Succession: Brilliant series with a phenomenal cast playing deplorable yet utterly lovable characters. Binged the first two seasons, my new fav for sure.
What are you currently watching?
I’m currently rewatching classic films that inspired me. The Godfather I and II by Francis Ford Coppola, Blade Runner by Ridley Scott, Cool Hand Luke by Stuart Rosenberg, Out of the Past by Jacques Tourneur.
What is your go-to comfort watch?
Gold Rush and Fast N’ Loud: Gold Rush for my addiction to watching heavy machinery push dirt around – I don’t understand why I am so into this but I just love it when shit breaks and they bust out the acetylene torches. Fast N’ Loud [is about] Richard Rawlings and his crew restoring classic cars and building cool hot rods. New season out March 30.
What book are you reading? / What is the last book you read?
No Country for Old Men by Cormac McCarthy: Love the Coen Brothers film, instant classic, and the book is an utterly brilliant character study.
City of Thieves by David Benioff: I’m rereading this, it was recommended to me by my friend Troy Baker, it’s one of my favorites. Written by David Benioff, showrunner of Game of Thrones; I cannot wait for him to adapt this for the screen, it’s a story about an unlikely couple of Russian soldiers who get sent on a mission to find a dozen eggs during World War II, utterly brilliant.
Papillon by Henri Charriere: A fantastic adventure about a French petty criminal turned escapologist who gets sentenced to life in prison in French Guiana. Great lockdown read for those dreaming of escape.
What game are you playing? / What is the last game you played?
Catan: Fun, easy to learn strategy board game. We just started playing this in our house and I’m addicted. We all seem to be so locked into our phones and computer games these days, so this is the perfect way to get your kids out of their control rooms and interacting.
What is next on your to-watch/read/play list?
My next watch will be a Youtube Tutorial on how to cut your own hair, I missed getting mine done before we went into lockdown. Think I’ll shoot for a Mad Max Road Warrior vibe, whether I like it or not that’s what I’ll probably end up with.
What is one thing you’d recommend that other people should watch/read/play if they’re looking for something new?
I recommend the films of Taika Waititi: Boy, Jojo Rabbit, Hunt for the Wilderpeople. And I would be remiss not to recommend The Boys on Amazon Prime Video.
Karen Fukuhara (Kimiko aka The Female)
What is the last thing you finished watching?
Contagion …which made me more anxious about our current state, but great movie nonetheless! So many wonderful actors in it.
Call Me By Your Name: I know, I’m late to the game! Beautifully shot and the intimate story is nothing like I’ve ever seen on screen.
She-Ra & The Princesses of Power – Season 5: I got a sneak peek of the newest season – TEARS! Can’t wait for it to come out for everyone to watch.
What are you currently watching?
Blow The Man Down: In Bojack Horseman, Margo Martindale is heavily referenced, so I was excited to see her in Blow The Man Down. She. Did. Not. Disappoint.
What is your go-to comfort watch?
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel: The world is incredibly charming and I can’t get enough of the hilarious Midge and Susie duo! (Watch it on Amazon)
What book are you reading? / What is the last book you read?
1Q84 by Haruki Murakami: The chapters switch between two main characters. So far I’ve been mesmerized by Aomame’s unusual occupation and lifestyle. I’m excited to see how the two characters connect.
What game are you playing? / What is the last game you played?
BACKGAMMOOOOON! Must get better before I see Tomer [Capon, who plays Frenchie] and Karl [Urban] again…
What is next on your to-watch/read/play list?
Some of the shows The Boys cast recommended: The Wire, Deadwood, Cheer, Babylon Berlin. I still have to go back and catch up on Jack Ryan & Westworld too!

Shameless plugs:

2. Kipo and the Age of the Wonderbeasts (Netflix)
3. She-Ra and The Princesses of Power (Netflix)

Antony Starr (Homelander)
What is the last thing you finished watching?
Taboo: Amazing series with an amazing cast and creative team. Season 2… who knows when and if, depending on availability of talent but def worth a watch. (Watch it on Hulu)

Rewatching Sopranos. I never finished it and have the time now! 😉
What is your go-to comfort watch?
Deadwood. Not so comforting as just my outright favourite show!

Just binged Tiger King docuseries. A wild ride.
What are you currently watching?
I’m still scarred from Tiger King but I’m going to dive back into seasons 4-5 of Peaky Blinders.
What is your go-to comfort watch?
The only thing I’m embarrassed of watching is The Bachelor. It’s such a good comedy.
What book are you reading? / What is the last book you read?
Just finished a phenomenal nonfiction book called The Spy and the Traitor by Ben Macintyre about a Cold War KGB agent who became a double agent for MI6.
What game are you playing? / What is the last game you played?
Well I downloaded Call of Duty but I don’t play video games and I’m horrible.

I’m going to rewatch The Boys, obviously. (Watch it on Amazon)
What is one thing you’d recommend that other people should watch/read/play if they’re looking for something new?
I’d recommend watching Babylon Berlin, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Patriot. A Gentlemen in Moscow is one of the best books I read last year. And I’ve been playing the can-I-wash-my-hands-and-sing-happy-birthday-to-Oprah-twice-for-100-times-a-day game.
Nathan Mitchell (Black Noir)
What is the last thing you finished watching?
Drive: Ryan Gosling is my Spirit Animal.
What are you currently watching?
Happy Endings: The best thirtysomething comedy since Friends. (Watch it on Hulu)
What is your go-to comfort watch?
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2012 Series): Here we go, it’s the lean green ninja team. On the scene cool teens doing ninja things (if you know you know).
What book are you reading? / What is the last book you read?
Anansi Boys by Neil Gaiman: Anansi is a Trickster God from African/Caribbean mythology. I grew up listening to stories about him as a kid.
What game are you playing? / What is the last game you played?
Settlers of Catan on my phone. Play me, I dare you.
What is next on your to-watch/read/play list?
You’re the Worst and Banshee. I’m having Aya [Cash] and Antony [Starr] separation anxiety.
What is one thing you’d recommend that other people should watch/read/play if they’re looking for something new?
One thing? Who are we kidding? We have time to kill.
Cartoons: Avatar the Last Airbender – all time classic (watch it on Hulu). Young Justice – if you love superhero cartoons, you’ll love this.
TV – Drama: Sherlock – the only TV show I feel has actually made me a smarter person. Luther – visceral, dark, phenomenal.
TV – Comedy: House of Lies – Brilliant and witty. Happy Endings (watch it!).
Movie: The Party directed by Sally Potter. I really felt like I was watching a play.
Book: The Inner Sky by Steven Forrest – my favorite astrology book.
Aya Cash (Stormfront)
What is the last thing you finished watching?
Cheer. Those kids are incredibly inspiring and amazing athletes.
What are you currently watching?
Devs – I have no idea what’s going on but it’s beautiful and fascinating. (Watch it on Hulu)
What is your go-to comfort watch?
Love and Hip Hop Atlanta – I just love them all. My friend keeps buying Cameos (the site where you can pay people to send you video messages) for me from the cast. Lil Scrappy is excellent at them.
What book are you reading? / What is the last book you read?
The Fifth Season by N.K. Jemisin – it’s the first in a trilogy called The Broken Earth Series. I love a book binge.
What game are you playing? / What is the last game you played?
Is Duolingo a game? I figured I should use my downtime to learn a language. I am embarrassed that I only speak English. Most of my friends are bilingual. I am also an avid Words with Friends and Boggle with Friends player. Boggle is really my only true talent.
What is next on your to-watch/read/play list?
The new Rebecca Solnit memoir Recollections of My Nonexistence. Colby Minifie [who plays Ashley on The Boys] recommended [Solnit’s] The Faraway Nearby last summer while we were shooting. When we were shooting we had a little book club going with Erin Moriarty (Starlight) and we passed books around. I actually read Erin’s copy but had to buy my own halfway through because I loved it so much.
What is one thing you’d recommend that other people should watch/read/play if they’re looking for something new?
Kim Addonizio is an amazing poet/novelist (and my mother). Buy all her books. Phoebe Waller-Bridge is a fan so if you read her books you’ll have something to talk to PWB about if you ever meet.
Eric Kripke (showrunner)
What is the last thing you finished watching?
The Lord of the Rings Trilogy: Just showed it to my kids for the first time. Watching it again, I was struck by how complicated and nuanced the performances are, some of the best genre acting ever. Plus, man, the visual effects hold up, which is rare for almost 20-year-old movies, but just shows you how well-conceived and executed they are. And that Karl Urban is easy on the eyes.
What are you currently watching?
Currently, I’m watching my children’s on-line school lessons, and making sure they do their work. My wife and I are pretty much homeschooling our kids at this point. At least I’m one step closer to creating my apocalyptic cult compound, so that’s a bonus.
What is your go-to comfort watch?
The Blues Brothers: The movie just makes me smile every time I see it. It’s funny and insane, but also one of the great Hollywood musicals in my opinion. And a mind-blowing collection of some of the best Blues and R&B performers in one place, which is my jam. Runner up for comfort watch: Evil Dead.
What book are you reading? / What is the last book you read?
Norse Mythology by Neil Gaiman. Neil’s the best at making myth and legend feel vital, current, modern and character-driven. Go read everything he’s ever written, you’ll be better for it. Also Saga by Brian K. Vaughan and Fiona Staples. A comic that I’d put it up with Sandman, Preacher, The Boys. Such a bananas space opera, but so grounded in character and relatable moments, you’ll feel like you’ve known this place and these people all your life. Good sci-fi is human, this is the most human.
What game are you playing? / What is the last game you played?
Not a gamer! But have spent a lot of time watching my kids play Fortnite, Jedi: Fallen Order, Star Wars Battlefront II, Red Dead Redemption II.
What is next on your to-watch/read/play list?
Chernobyl. And Letterkenny. (Watch Letterkenny on Hulu)
What is one thing you’d recommend that other people should watch/read/play if they’re looking for something new?
Well, Jesus, I’d be an asshole if I didn’t say The Boys. But really, I’m so damn proud of it, check it out.
Otherwise… Rick and Morty all day, times a million. (Watch Rick and Morty on Hulu)
