Now that we’re all stuck at home, it’s a great time to take advantage of streaming service free trials. One of the most popular services is Hulu, which lets you stream movies, TV shows, and even just-aired episodes of shows that are currently airing on most of the major networks. If you’ve ever wanted to give Hulu a try, now’s a good time to do it. You can start a free 30-day trial right now.

If you don’t want to continue, you can cancel before the first bill arrives, and you won’t owe anything at all. Choose to keep your subscription going, and it’s only $5.99 per month with ads, or $11.99 without.

I’ve been a Hulu subscriber ever since I ditched cable years ago, and I love it. It has enough of everything that I can easily justify not paying enormous fees to bring live cable TV into my house. It has cooking shows, reality shows, sitcoms, dramas, and everything else you get from cable. You can watch The Bachelor, Brooklyn 99, This is Us, Superstore, Fresh Off the Boat, Bob’s Burgers, Atlanta, LEGO Masters, Rick and Morty, and on and on.

Anime fans can find plenty worth watching, including Attack on Titan, My Hero Academia, One-Punch Man, and more. It has classic cartoons ranging from Tiny Toon Adventures to Rugrats and Hey Arnold. It has classic sitcoms dating from I Love Lucy to Cheers, Frasier, Seinfeld, and The Wonder Years.

Hulu’s slate of original programming has grown a lot in recent years. Pen 15 is hilarious, albeit painfully. Killing Eve is great, The Handmaid’s Tale is devastating yet fantastic. I’m currently obsessed with Devs, a show by the mind behind Ex Machina and Annihilation that’s part of FX’s new Hulu-first initiative.

If you’re sitting around the house and not finding anything good to watch on your current streaming services, you might as well give the Hulu free trial a shot. You’ll have a month to poke around and see if you want to keep it going. You can even use this as an opportunity to ditch one of your more expensive streaming services to save money. Or maybe it’ll inspire you to drop cable and you’ll save a whole lot more.
