Right now, Humble Bundle is offering what I consider one of its coolest bundles yet: a collection of 3D printable miniatures you can use for your D&D sessions once things return to normal again, assuming you’re not continuing your D&D campaign online with roll20 or some other internet role-playing solution.

There’s probably enough time between now and the lifting of social-distancing to not only set up a new campaign with your 3D models, but to paint them, too, and the bundle starts at just $1.

Humble 3D Printed D&D Miniatures Bundle

For the models, you need a 3D printer, but there are designs for card stock you could almost certainly print off on your existing printer (don’t quote me on that: check to see your printer’s capabilities). Prices on 3D printers have come down dramatically over the last 5 years or so, and consumer-grade printers are common place. Even if you don’t have one yourself, you probably know someone, or know someone who knows someone, who can help you out.

After you’ve printed them off, you can paint them up and enter a whole new realm of enthusiast hobbying. There is no shortage of tutorials on YouTube for techniques to make your models look incredible, so while you wait for social-distancing orders to lift, you can work on your detailing skills. Then, when things are back to normal, surprise! All-new worlds to explore.
