If you enjoy gross-out humor and subversive takes on classic fairy tales, then JJ Villard’s Fairy Tales might just be up your alley. We have an exclusive and very stomach-churning clip from one of the first episodes of this new animated series ahead of its May 10 premiere date.

JJ Villard’s Fairy Tales features the titular director (best known for his previous Adult Swim series, King Star King) crafting irreverent takes on classic fairy tales and working with a who’s who cast of horror movie/TV icons. Also, it’s pretty darned gross. This very NSFW clip features Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard as Boypunzel, a gender-swapped version of Rapunzel who yearns for the freedom of the outside world. But when the witch Doreen (Twin Peaks’ Sheryl Lee) shows up, things get really disgusting. Check out the video below if you dare:

Season 1 will also feature horror guest stars like Linda Blair (The Exorcist), Warwick Davis (Leprechaun), Robert Englund (A Nightmare on Elm Street), Corey Feldman (The Lost Boys), Alan Oppenheimer (He-Man and the Masters of the Universe) and Jennifer Tilly (Bride of Chucky).

Here’s Adult Swim’s official description for the new series: “JJ Villard’s Fairy Tales is a new, twisted, fun take on the classic Brothers Grimm fairy tales like Cinderella and Snow White. The charm and cuteness of the original stories remain, but now they’ve been updated and packaged into a ball of raw, visceral, gross weirdness. The animated quarter hour series is created, and executive produced by JJ Villard (King Star King) and produced by Cartoon Network Studios.”

The first two episodes of JJ Villard’s Fairy Tales will premiere on Adult Swim on Sunday, May 10 at 12:00am and 12:15am EST.

It’s a good time to be a fan of animated adult comedies. Netflix just debuted the first season of The Midnight Gospel, from Adventure Time creator Pendleton Ward and comedian Duncan Trussell. Check out IGN’s review of The Midnight Gospel: Season 1. Elsewhere, Rick and Morty: Season 4 is also returning soon, and co-creator Justin Roiland also has a new Hulu series called Solar Opposites on the way.
