Warner Bros. announced Tuesday that, due to the closure of movie theaters because of the coronavirus pandemic, they are dropping plans to release their animated film Scoob! theatrically and will instead debut it on premium VOD and digital ownership in the U.S. and Canada on May 15, 2020.

Scoob! will be available for a 48-hour rental via Premium Video On Demand for $19.99 or premium digital ownership for $24.99 beginning on Friday, May 15 (prices listed U.S. SRP).  The title will be available on participating digital platforms. (Scoob!’s original theatrical release date was May 15.)

Scoob! becomes the second major animated family film following Trolls World Tour to forego their theatrical release in favor of a VOD/digital debut.
