Capcom has announced that the May update for its blockbuster adventure game Monster Hunter World: Iceborne has been delayed, and will be pushed back to a later date. As is the case for most recent delays, the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has been cited as having held up production.
Speaking on Twitter, Capcom apologised for the delay on its next update – the fourth as much since MHW:I’s release – also noting that the recording of the French, Spanish, and Italian soundtracks have also been affected, and that these voicetracks would be replaced by “simplified recordings”. No rescheduled date has been announced.
MHW:I’s latest update, Version 3.5, is available in-game right now. These delays will not affect the upcoming Arch-Tempered Namielle quest, which will go live on May 1.
Monster Hunter World: Iceborne is available now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
