If you’re looking for something to watch without spending money, check out Sling Free. It’s the free portion of Sling TV, the live TV streaming service for cord cutters. Signing up grants you access to a handful of channels and On Demand shows and movies. It doesn’t even require a credit card, so it’s worth checking out if you could use a new library of content to sift through.

The On Demand selection is where I suspect Sling Free users will spend the most time. You can find lists of free movies and TV shows in the “My TV” section of the site/app. There you can watch tons of full seasons of shows like Samurai Jack, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Hell’s Kitchen, Carnival Eats, Unsolved Mysteries, Robot Chicken, 3rd Rock from the Sun, and Roseanne. You’ll also find a few episodes here and there of shows like Adventure Time, Pokemon: DP Battle Dimension, American Gods, Black Sails, and many more.

sling-freeAs for free movies, things are a bit dicier. The catalog is loaded with films I’ve never heard of, like Lava Storm and Mega Snake (though, granted, both of those sound amazing). I did find the occasional known quantity like The Illusionist and Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans, the latter of which was directed by The Mandalorian’s Werner Herzog. The selection of channels available for live TV streaming is also disappointing. But hey, it’s free.

Basically, as long as you calibrate your expectations, Sling Free is worth checking out for anyone who could use some free entertainment to help pass the time.
