Lucasfilm has delayed the launch of its cross-media Star Wars prequel series, The High Republic, until January 2021.
Announced on StarWars.com, the delay comes asa result of “recent world events” (read: COVID-19). As a result, all three announced High Republic products have been delayed from their original 2020 release dates.
Charles Soule’s adult novel Star Wars: The High Republic: Light of the Jedi, and Justina Ireland’s middle-grade novel Star Wars: The High Republic: A Test of Courage will both see release on January 5, 2021. Claudia Gray’s young adult-focused Star Wars: The High Republic: Into the Dark will follow on February 2.
Announcements of release dates for Marvel’s The High Republic comic series, and IDW Publishing’s Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures series will follow at a later date.
