The SEGA Genesis Mini is probably my favorite all-in-one retro console on the market right now. It does everything right, and I said as much in my Genesis Mini review.

On top of being the best equipped console out of the box, in terms of controllers, AC adapter and games, it’s also the least-expensive, easy-to-find retro all-in-one console. You can get a TurboGrafx 16 Mini (also very good), but it’s $99, only includes one controller, you need to provide your own AC adapter, and it’s hard to find.

SEGA Genesis Mini Deal

Once you’ve set yourself up with a SEGA Genesis Mini, you can start begging SEGA to release the SEGA Game Gear Mini, which comes in 4 different colors, each with its own set of games, for around $50. Currently there are no plans to release the Game Gear Mini outside of Japan, but my fingers are crossed SEGA changes its mind.
