As expected due to the Australian PSN leak, the new Destiny 2 expansion is on the way and dated for September 22. Now that the official reveal is upon us though we have an actual name: Beyond Light. “All currently supported platforms” (PC, PS4, Xbox One, Stadia) will get Beyond Light. No PS5/Xbox Series X plans were announced

The trailer opens up with that icy footage we saw recently, and director Luke Smith confirms that it will take place on Europa. The classic Destiny character Exo Stranger returns as players tackle new quests and “wield the power of darkness.” You can find the full rundown from Bungie below, including a look at the Collector’s Edition of the expansion.

Bungie also revealed plans for the next few years of Destiny 2, which you can read about here. For all the problems Destiny 2 has, at least we aren’t getting Destiny 3 too soon! The Season of Arrivals starts today, and will herald a new activity called “Prophecy.”
