As great as the current era of fighting games is, my heart will always belong to the ’90s. The decade produced some of the fighters I consider to be my all-time favorites because they featured characters from X-Men: The Animated Series, my favorite cartoon at the time. Games like X-Men: Children of the Atom and Marvel Super Heroes sucked the quarters directly out of my wallet. Last year, when Arcade1Up revealed its Capcom Marvel Super Heroes Home Arcade Game, I didn’t think it could get better than that.

I was wrong.

As part of its upcoming lineup, Arcade1Up announced it is creating an X-Men vs. Street Fighter cabinet that will include X-Men: Children of the Atom, X-Men: Mutant Apocalypse, and the original arcade ROMs for Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Heroes and X-Men vs. Street Fighter. A second cabinet is also being produced for as-of-yet unnamed exclusive retail partners. It will feature Marvel vs. Capcom decals and will come loaded with MvC, X-Men vs. Street Fighter, Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter, Marvel Super Heroes, and Marvel Super Heroes: War of the Gems. That’s a lot of Marvel!
