What Games to Expect at EA Play Live 2020
If you’ve been paying close attention to EA’s social media, some tidbits of information have dropped about which games to expect at EA Play Live 2020. The Apex Legends Twitter account asked people to tune in “to unearth what’s next for Apex Legends.” Josef Fares, writer and director for Brothers and A Way Out also tweeted there would be a “short tease about the next game,” and EA confirmed we’d get our first look at Star Wars Squadrons gameplay. Something related to FIFA 2K21 was also hinted at by the official EA Sports FIFA Twitter account.
As for additional games that might be shown, we can speculate a bit about what will be shown based on upcoming EA games we already know about:
- Battlefield 6 (2021)
- Madden NFL 21 (TBA 2020)
- NBA 2K21 (Holiday 2020)
- The Sims 5 (TBA)
We still don’t know the release window for the Sims 5 but Battlefield 6, Madden NFL 21, and NBA 2K21 are pretty good candidates for games to expect.
As usual, BioWare fans are itching to hear about a new entry from one of their beloved game franchises. We know at least that Bioware is working on an Anthem overhaul after struggles following its release, and a new Mass Effect game is reportedly coming out of BioWare Edmonton. Dragon Age 4 was reportedly rebooted in 2017 and is influenced by a canceled Dragon Age game from 2015. That said, there’s been no official word about whether we’ll hear about any of these BioWare projects at EA Play Live 2020.
