Netflix has announced that Cobra Kai Season 3 will debut on the global streaming network instead of YouTube.
While no release date for the third season of Cobra Kai has been revealed, Netflix did confirm that Seasons 1 and 2 will be available on Netflix sometime in 2020. Cobra Kai’s departure from YouTube marks the end of the Google-owned company’s scripted series run, which featured originals like Origin and Impulse.

“The appeal of The Karate Kid saga is timeless, and Cobra Kai picks up right where it left off without missing a beat,” said Brian Wright, VP of Netflix’s Original Series. “The rivalry between Daniel and Johnny is one for the ages, and the show has a ton of heart and is a lot of fun. We can’t wait to introduce a new generation of fans to Cobra Kai and are thrilled to be its new home around the world.”
