When Bungie unveiled its roadmap for Destiny 2’s future last month, the company announced that an expansion called Beyond Light would be releasing on September 22. However, it appears that date was too optimistic; according to this post on Bungie’s site, the upcoming autumn content will now hit on November 10.
“As always, our goal is to make the coolest, most entertaining expansion we can possibly make for our fans,” writes David Dague (a.k.a. DeeJ) from Bungie. “To that end, we are doing what’s best for the game and moving the launch date.”
When Beyond Light arrives in November, it will spice up the experience with the new location Europa, a new elemental power source, and a story that marks the return of the Stranger. Fans of Destiny 2 may have to wait a little longer than expected, but it’s hard to complain if that extra time results in a more polished experience.
