Netflix has shared a teaser trailer for Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous, a new CG-animated series slated to premiere on September 18.

The YouTube trailer shows a group of six teenagers journeying through the gates of Camp Cretaceous for a once-in-a-lifetime experience that will see them band together to survive, as they get up close and personal with the dinosaurs wreaking havoc across the island, which is located on the opposite side of Isla Nublar.

Netflix also dropped a thrilling new poster for the highly anticipated series. The one-sheet depicts two of the young campers ziplining away from one of the most dangerous dinos at Camp Cretaceous, highlighting a new era of wonder and thrills where dinosaurs and humankind must learn to coexist.

As part of the latest promotional material, it has been revealed that the eight-episode action-adventure series will debut globally on Netflix on September 18.

Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous is coming from executive producers Steven Spielberg, Colin Trevorrow and Frank Marshall, together with Scott Kreamer and Aaron Hammersley who are serving as both executive producers and showrunners on the new series, which was developed by Zack Stentz, who is credited as the show’s consulting producer.

The voice cast for the series features Paul-Mikél Williams as resident dinosaur expert Darius; Jenna Ortega as social media sensation Brooklynn; Ryan Potter as self-appointed VIP Kenji; Raini Rodriguez as gregarious and enthusiastic Sammy; Sean Giambrone as sensitive and bookish Ben; and Kausar Mohammed as world-class athlete Yaz. Elsewhere, Jameela Jamil and Glen Powell recur as camp counsellors Roxie and Dave.

Earlier this year, Mattel released a batch of new Jurassic World toys to tie-in with the upcoming Netflix series, along with some other figures that recreate iconic moments from the original Jurassic Park and 2015’s Jurassic World.

Jurassic World: Dominion, the final film in the Jurassic World trilogy, is currently in production and is scheduled to stomp into theaters on June 11, 2021.
