Version 1.0.1 is now available to download for Paper Mario: The Origami King. The latest update fixes a game-breaking bug that was recently discovered 20 to 30 hours into Mario’s newest RPG adventure.

Nintendo acknowledged the bug in a statement last week and said it was working on a fix that has now arrived. The problem was affecting players in the Shangri-Spa area of the game and revolved around the game-breaking disappearance of a VIP card that was needed to progress.

Fortunately, the latest update resolves the issue, even for those who have already encountered it. You’ll now be able to proceed as normal and enter the Spring of Rainbows to continue Mario’s quest to defeat the Origami King and rescue Princess Peach. In addition to this, version 1.0.1 also fixes a number of other issues. You can find the full patch notes below.
