Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, 2020 has been rough on the movie theater industry, with movies being pushed back time and time again or being delayed indefinitely. This is the case for Christopher Nolan’s Tenet, which was originally arrive on July 17 before numerous push backs and followed by an indefinite delay.
However, the movie has yet another release date, according to Variety. Tenet will begin rolling out in international markets on August 26 and in China on September 4. For American audiences, it’s going to be a bit different.
The current plan for Tenet in America is to debut the film on Labor Day weekend, on September 3. However, this all depends on reopening plans for specific cities and states, as Los Angeles and New York–among other major markets–don’t currently have a set reopening plan.
