The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 5G and Note 20 Ultra 5G are set to release on August 21, but you can lock one down right now with a preorder. They’re not cheap (they start at $1000), but they’re pretty much the most powerful phones on the market. And there are a few ways to lessen the hit to your wallet.
For one, you can always trade in your old phone. But one of the better bonuses we’ve seen in smartphone land is happening at Verizon. If you add a new line to your account while buying a Note 20, you’ll get a second Samsung Galaxy Note 20 5G for free. If you’d prefer the Note 20 Ultra, you’ll save $1,000 on a second one.

The standard Note 20 comes in three color options: Mystic Gray, Mystic Bronze, and Mystic Green. That’s a lot of mystic-ness.

The Note 20 Ultra is also available in three color options, but they’re Mystic White, Mystic Bronze, and Mystic Black.
Both the Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra come with the patented S Pen, a stylus/remote that’s sheathed directly in the body of the phone itself. They both work on 5G networks, have fast and wireless charging options, and feature stereo speakers.
The Note 20 has a sizable 6.7-inch screen, while the Ultra ups the display size to 6.9 inches. The main camera on the Ultra is a little better, as is the battery. And the Ultra is available with 128GB or 512GB, while the Note 20 is 128GB or nothing (both can be upgraded with a microSD card, though).
Both models have super-fast processors that are great for gaming. And if you’re an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate member, you’ll be able to stream games via xCloud to these phones starting September 15. Over 100 games will work, including Minecraft Dungeons, Halo 5, and Gears 5.
