Check out some anticipated series in the video above or the slideshow gallery below, followed by the full list of new Fall season 2022 anime in the U.S. and their respective streaming platforms. Anime listed are available now unless otherwise stated.

Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury (Crunchyroll, VRV)

Gundam is back with a new standalone series, The Witch from Mercury! The series follows Suletta, a young girl who survived an attack to end the development of GUND-ARM, a special mobile suit tech that can have negative effects on pilots. Years later, she attends a school to become a proper pilot but she has the forbidden tech with her. The last time we saw a standalone Gundam series was Iron-Blooded Orphans back in 2017. So if you’re new to Gundam and afraid to jump in because of the long history of the Universal Century storyline, have no fear! The Witch from Mercury is totally accessible for anyone that wants to check out a Gundam series for the first time. The series is available now on Crunchyroll and VRV.

BLUELOCK (Crunchyroll, VRV)

Looking for a sports anime this season that totally flips the script in an unexpected way? Bluelock is the anime for you! The series follows Yoichi, a young forward who loses his chance at going to Nationals because he relied on a teammate. He gets a mysterious invitation to Bluelock, a facility that’s dedicated to training the world’s greatest striker in hopes of helping Japan win their first World Cup ever. It’s here that success means being a self centered player that’s confident in their skills! Of the 300 high school forwards invited, only one can be chosen! This series is way more intense than your typical sports anime! Just a few episodes in, and we can already see that it’ll get crazier every week! With this series and Aoashi just finishing up season 1 recently, soccer fans have a lot to enjoy this year. You can check out Bluelock now on Crunchyroll and VRV.

Chainsaw Man (Crunchyroll, VRV, Hulu)

Chainsaw Man is finally here! The series follows the down and out protagonist, Denji, who inherits his father’s debt after his death. With nothing else left to lose, he befriends a devil and becomes a Devil Hunter in hopes to pay what he owes. On the verge of death, a connection is made with the befriended Chainsaw devil and the two become one, making this crazy hybrid of human and chainsaw. Chainsaw Man is arguably one of the most anticipated anime of the year, and for good reason! Mappa is behind this adaptation so we’re expecting some high quality animation with the likes of Attack on Titan: The Final Season and Jujutsu Kaisen. The opening alone has some amazing work with a ton of entertainment references to find! You can check out Chainsaw Man now on Crunchyroll, VRV, and Hulu.

Do It Yourself!! (Crunchyroll, VRV)

Another new title hitting this fall season is the slice of life series, Do It Yourself!! The series follows protagonist Yua Serufu, which is a play on words for ‘yourself’. Serufu is a dim-witted student who doesn’t get into the same high school as her close friend and neighbor, but continues to not be bothered by anything in particular. She stumbles upon a neglected clubhouse and learns that it’s a DIY club. Serufu haphazardly agrees to joining the club with the goal of saving it, but soon learns to enjoy her time there. This chill anime has been a fun time so far and the art style is charming. If you’re looking to take a break from the many action packed series this season, check out Do It Yourself!! on Crunchyroll and VRV.

Romantic Killer (Netflix)

Looking for a hilarious rom-com this fall? Then Romantic Killer may be that anime for you this season! The series follows Anzu, a high school girl who ignores romance and only cares about video games, chocolate, and cats. As she goes about her daily routine, a little wizard appears and forces her to live a real life dating sim. The catch is that all her favorite things will be taken away from her for this chance at romance. Sounds like a typical formula for trouble! From what we’ve seen, it looks like a ridiculously fun romp and we look forward to seeing how the season pans out. Romantic Killer will be available October 27th on Netflix.

Urusei Yatsura (2022) (HIDIVE)

We have a blast from the past this season with the newest adaptation of Urusei Yatsura. The series follows Ataru, a pervy guy that tends to have bad luck. As he’s being dumped by his girlfriend, aliens invade the planet and the only way to save it is if a single randomly chosen person wins a game of tag. Ataru is that person and he is met by his alien competitor, Lum, which anime fans might be familiar with. The original Urusei Yatsura anime with the iconic Lum ran from 1981-1986. That’s over 35 years since the initial series and it’s back with David Production at the helm. If you’re a fan of the studio’s work like JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure or Cells at Work!, you might enjoy this new adaptation of a classic. Urusei Yatsura is available now HIDIVE.

SPY x FAMILY (Crunchyroll, VRV, Hulu)

2022’s darling family is back again with part 2 of the first season! Spy X Family continues with more shenanigans as secret agent Twilight takes on daring missions as he balances his new life with his eccentric family. Spy X Family has quickly become a new favorite in the anime community. With the likes of Wit Studio and CloverWorks behind the production, you can expect more amazing animation as the season continues. The stakes seem to only get bigger from here! The series is available now on Crunchyroll, VRV, and Hulu.

Mob Psycho 100 III (Crunchyroll, VRV, Hulu)

Mob Psycho 100 is back again this year with season 3! The series follows Mob, a young boy who has tremendous psychic powers, and Reigen, a bumbling self-proclaimed psychic that becomes his mentor. The pair’s growing relationship eventually leads to seedy underground conspiracies and ghostly disturbances. The fascinating series won IGN’s 2019 Anime of the Year award and for good reason. Studio Bones does an amazing job with the adaptation showcasing beautiful animation and gravitas for what can seem like a silly shonen anime. If you’re interested in checking out one of the best anime of the last decade, watch Mob Psycho 100 now on Crunchyroll, VRV, and Hulu.

To Your Eternity Season 2 (Crunchyroll, VRV)

Get ready for your emotions to be rocked again with season 2 of To Your Eternity! This dramatic series follows an orb, a mysterious entity that learns and adapts from its surroundings. The purpose of the orb is to observe Earth by an unknown creator. There is a lot that happens in this series and it’s best to experience it first hand. Not to mention, Hikaru Utada of Kingdom Hearts fame is confirmed to return for the opening theme. If you’re looking for something to pull at those heart strings, check out To Your Eternity on Crunchyroll and VRV.

My Hero Academia Season 6 (Crunchyroll, VRV, Hulu, Funimation)

The action packed My Hero Academia returns with Season 6! It’s been about a year now since we’ve learned a bit more of Tomura’s background and his group’s latest dealings in season 5. All that set up in the previous season is leading to this huge moment in the anime, and it’ll be interesting to see what the villains' major efforts bring to fruition and whether or not the heroes can put a stop to the new villain group as the seasons goes on. Season 6 jumps right into the excitement and it doesn’t look like it’s going to end anytime soon. Check out the latest My Hero Academia season on Crunchyroll, VRV, Hulu, and Funimation.

Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War (Hulu)

The time has finally come! The hugely popular series, Bleach, is continuing the anime adaptation after almost a decade! The last time we saw Ichigo and the rest of the gang was during the Tale of the Lost Agent or Fullbringer arc in which he was trying to recover his powers. Now that we’re in the final arc, The Thousand-Year Blood War, we’ll finally see the Shinigami and their long historied conflict come to a conclusion. Studio Pierrot is back to once again produce the Bleach anime as it did years ago. We’re even getting some of the sweet soundtrack back this time around as well. There’s a lot of excitement to finally see the anime adaptation to the final manga arc after all these years. If you want to catch up on Bleach or check out the latest arc, the series is available on Hulu.
