Super Bowl LIX took place on Sunday, February 9, featuring the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles duking it out for the title. EA’s 2025 simulation using Madden NFL 25 predicted the Eagles would beat the Chiefs by a score of 23-21. In reality, the Eagles did win. By a much bigger margin of 40-22. The simulation also predicted that Eagles QB Jalen Hurts would be named Super Bowl LIX MVP–and he was.
The game was predicted by Madden–and many others–to be a close one. However, it was not. The Eagles blew out the Chiefs, with Kansas City only putting up big numbers in the game’s garbage time to make the score look closer than it was in reality.
With an accurate prediction, EA’s Madden Super Bowl simulation has now been correct two years in a row, as it also predicted the Chiefs would win 2024’s Super Bowl, which they did.
